The radio broadcasting competition was held on the EVSU-Ormoc Campus on November 10, 2022, as part of the institution’s 22nd founding anniversary celebrations, and it was organized by the Student Publications Office in partnership with the Supreme Student Government.
The presentations made at the Special Radio Broadcast Competition 2022 were anchored to the topic One EVSU: Forward Together and focused on the school’s achievements this academic year. The challenge was accepted by four team members from the Teacher Education Department, PICE Organization, SSG x UNITS, and RCY EVSU-OC.
They showcased their broadcasting prowess and abilities.

The teams’ distinctive approaches, vocal ranges, and chemistry were on full show during the fierce competition. Nevertheless, for the love of broadcast journalism, everyone applauded one another. The contestant from PICE Organization won the title of Overall Champion, with Teacher Education Department coming in first, SSG x UNITS coming in second, and RCY (EVSU-OC) coming in third. On November 11, 2022, in the school’s Function Hall, the 7th Sidlakan Mass Media Awards will be held. The overall winners and recipients of special awards will be presented with plaques and medals.
