About PICE-OSC

We, the member of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Student Chapter, imploring the aid of our Almighty God in order to promote competitiveness, camaraderie, and excellence to bring flame and honour to our organization and actively participate and cooperate in our activities.

The official name of the organization is PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF CIVIL ENGINEERS – EASTERN VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY ORMOC STUDENT CHAPTER (Charter No. 146) and may be referred as PICE – EVSU OSC.

This organization organizes events and projects to help people around us, showing that we’re not just about technology, but also about helping others. This organization believes in being honest, kind, and helpful, showing that being a leader means caring about others, both online and offline.

The PICE – EVSU OSC values the dignity of its members as a human person and guarantees full respect of their rights. We recognizes the vital role of its members as youths and future Civil Engineers in nation building and shall promote, conserve, secure their physical, moral, intellectual, spiritual and social well – being. We shall provide just, fair and equal support, if necessary, in its relation to other organizations. Provided however, the paramount consideration shall be its sovereignty, organizational integrity and the right to self – determination.

Our goals are to encourage Civil Engineering students to work together in fellowship dedicated in field of Science, Technology and Engineering, enhance, improve ad develop the competency, integrity, prestige and excellence of the Civil Engineering profession in an educational and just manner by providing programs and similar activities that will develop their full potential, provide a venue in promoting and developing a critical inquiry and thoughts in the attainment of engineering consciousness, promote cooperation and camaraderie among the Civil Engineering students and to other organizations in EVSU – OC, provide an adequate representation and effective participation on matters that directly affect the organization and its members, unite and mobilize its members towards the fulfillment of its principles and objectives, and incorporate participation and advocacy in social activities.

We envision “a leader among professional organizations, known for professionalism, integrity, excellence and social responsibility – a key player in nation building”.

On the other hand, our mission is to “to advocate unity towards development of Civil Engineering profession and advance for the building of a better nation”.
