The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Ormoc City, led by Sangguniang Panglungsod Atty. Nolitz Quilang, conducted a briefing about District Barangay Merging at Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) Ormoc Campus yesterday afternoon.

The forum was attended by Dr. Gerry B. de Cadiz, EVSU-OC Campus Director; Ms. Kristine Lovele E. Navarrete, Faculty President; Pems Dexter Vincent L. Capuban, SESPO/PS1; Supreme Student Government (SSG); The Observer, the Official Student Publication of EVSU-OC and representatives from the other student organizations of the university.

The initiative aims to transform the currently 29 District Baranggays into 4 Super Baranggays- the Baranggay North, East, West, and South (NEWS).
