News 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗘𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗢𝗦𝗖 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗖𝗔𝗗 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼  𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Student Chapter (PICE-EVSU OSC) joined forces with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to conduct a seminar in AutoCAD, a pivotal software used in the field of engineering, today at EVSU-Ormoc Luna Campus.

As the program commenced, Engr. Phoebe Lanzaderas, PICE-EVSU OSC adviser, welcomed all the sophomores to the seminar, along with the introduction of guest speakers from DPWH. She also provided her own insights about the software. Meanwhile, Arch. Nathaniel Cubi, one of the guest speakers, introduced the functions of AutoCAD and gave a brief overview of the software. He also stated the advantages and disadvantages of AutoCAD in the field and emphasized how it affects the future endeavors of engineers. Moreover, he gave a lot of samples of floor plans demonstrated them in front of students, and made the students work on their own for them to better grasp the techniques and ideas,. Further, Kyle Pore, RMP, guided the sophomores on how to effectively apply the techniques in their own works.

The seminar was concluded by Hon. Mark Aurel D. Garciano, president of the organization. He expressed his sincere gratitude towards all the attendees.

Through the seminar, the students gained a much deeper understanding of AutoCAD’s capabilities, applications of its system, and how to utilize the software efficiently.
