Ormoc City, June 17, 2025 — With the theme “Celebrating dedication, building tomorrow” The Informare Guild (TIG)—Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) of Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Campus, held its Culminating Activity at the EVSU-OC AC Building, Function Hall.
The event served as a formal closing ceremony and a moment of recognition for the outstanding officers and members whose efforts defined a year of service, leadership and collaboration. It brought together officers, members, and esteemed guest to reflect on the organization’s accomplishments, recognize outstanding individuals, and discuss opportunities for growth.
A highlight of the program was the awarding of certificates of recognition, participation, and service—honoring both the outgoing officers and the active members of the organization’s commitment and hardwork.
One of the most impactful parts of the event was the keynote message delivered by Dr. Richard Impas, Head of Finance Services. In his address, he emphasize the weight of leadership responsibilities and how true leadership demands time, dedication, and consistent effort. Dr. Impas also raised thought-provoking insights on the broader leadership crisis facing the country—citing the dangers of incompetence, inconsistency, and the lack of proper qualifications among many in power. He challenged the student leaders of the organization to embody integrity and accountability, noting that title alone do not define leadership—action and principles do.
Many officers and members found themselves inspired by his call to action, especially his suggestion to provide students with opportunities beyond academics for leaders—such as seminars and certification programs like NC II to better prepare students for the workforce and enhance employability.
Outgoing President Reina Mae C. Porcare delivered her personal reflections on her leadership journey—from being a first year representative to ultimately leading the organization.
“This journey wasn’t perfect. I struggled, felt left out, and wasn’t always active – but I gave my best. With the help of my vice president, we wore many hats. That experience made us stronger,” she shared. “This is not goodbye—it’s a reminder that once a part of the TIG, always a part of TIG”
Former Vice President Mary Krystine L. Jugar also gave a message reminding the future officers to lead with purpose, not for recognition. She emphasize that the Guild is not merely an organization—it is a family that must be nurtured and protected, one that holds the power to influence change.
