Prof. Georgina Orbeta of EVSU Ormoc attended the Japanese Studies Research Writing Workshop hosted and sponsored by the Asian Center of UP and UP Tacloban on December 4, 2024 at the AS Conference room of UPTC. The gathering was an opportunity to learn about the programs of the Asian Studies in UP Diliman and gain ideas on how to conduct Japanese studies.

Mr. Axl Bulawan, the 6th Japanese Studies Research Development Competition (JSRDC) winner and now a faculty member of UPTC shared his experience in joining the contest and presented the contents of his paper.

Prof. Orbeta had the opportunity to have lunch and post-workshop meeting with the two speakers: Professor of UPD and National Museum of the Philippines Researcher, Dr. Marianne Ubalde and the Asian Studies Prof. of UP Diliman, Dr. Jocelyn Celero. Ms. Celero and Ms. Orbeta were former officemates in Makati 16 years ago before she had her post-graduate studies in Japan.
