The Junior Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (JPSME) of Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) held its Scholarship Awarding and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing for the academic year 2024-2025 at the EVSU Luna Extension on October 27, 2024.

The event was attended by members of the organization, scholarship recipients, and key individuals who played a crucial role in developing and supporting the scholarship program.

Engr. Caleb Sonn Tangog, President of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Ormoc-Kananga Chapter (PSME-OKC), opened the program with a welcoming address. In his speech, he recognized and introduced the newly selected scholars who stood out during the selection process. Following his remarks, Engr. Cristopher Casuno, Chairman of the Scholarship Program, presented a brief history of the scholarship, emphasizing its goals and the opportunities it offers to students.

Afterward, Engr. Jobert Collantes, Co-chairman of the Scholarship Program, took the lead in signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This was followed by the distribution of allowances to the scholars, accompanied by an inspiring speech from Engr. Lyndon Barabad, a member of the Scholarship Program Committee, who urged the students to seize their academic opportunities.

To wrap up the event, Engr. Efren Jay T. Gallardo provided closing remarks, offering his encouragement and best wishes to the scholars as they embark on their educational journeys.

Said event was organized to honor the achievements of students who demonstrated exceptional performance in mechanical engineering.
