In response to the call of the University President, Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, for colleges and campuses to make green spaces in the school premises, the Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC), headed by the Campus Director, Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay, led this initiative through partnering with the Maintenance and Engineering Services Office (MESO) in greening and beautifying the facade and second floor of the Academic Building.

 This initiative started on March 28, 2024 and continues to flourish, evident in the blossoming of sunflowers and other plants across the campus. The ongoing efforts have resulted in lush green spaces and a commitment to maintaining a clean and vibrant environment.

Furthermore, the Office of the Campus Director encourages all department and office heads to support this initiative in their respective premises by reserving 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays as “Green Space” time, ensuring the ongoing enhancement and beautification of the campus.
