EVSU-OC Tops in Prompt Submission of TES and TDP Documents

Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) excelled in the timely submission of billing documents and liquidation reports. Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza Jr. received the award during the Regional Assessment for Fiscal Year 2024 and Target Setting for Fiscal Year 2025, conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VIII last April 15, 2025, at Hotel de Estrella, Tacloban City. In Region 8—Eastern Visayas, there are approximately 89 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including both Public and Private HEIs. Among these, only five were acknowledged with the award: Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus, Bato Institute of Science and Technology, Palompon Institute of Technology-Main Campus, Sto. Niño College of Ormoc, and JE Mondejar Computer College. The award specifically recognized the timely submission of requirements and documents for the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees. This highlighted the efficiency of EVSU-OC’s personnel and the timeliness across its various departments. Every victory has champions behind it. Behind this prestigious award were the diligent departments of EVSU-OC. Through the perseverance of Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza Jr., Head of the Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO) and TDP and TES coordinator, Prof. Sara Jane C. Endriano, campus cashier, and Prof. Angela M. Coquilla, Head of the Accounting Department and a certified public accountant, the campus was highly recognized across Region 8. The journey was not without challenges. Personnel faced difficulties such as the late submission of required documents—copies of IDs, Certificates of Registration (COR), and others—by grantees. However, these challenges did not jeopardize the campus’ overall performance. “It is the constant communication. We communicate with them, we elected officers to manage the grantees, and we even created a group chat for more efficiency,” Dr. Arradaza explained as the solution to the problem and the key to their outstanding performance. The certificate itself may be just a piece of paper, but the appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the personnel is what truly matters. Surely, their sweat, blood, and tears have finally paid off. The award not only acknowledged the outstanding performance of EVSU-OC’s personnel but also boosted the morale of the entire campus. Moreover, it motivated not just the staff but also the grantees to perform more efficiently in their respective fields. Undoubtedly, EVSU-OC may face struggles and challenges, but it will always find ways to rise and accomplish tasks swiftly.
