EVSU-OC Technology Days 2025: A Showcase of Innovation and Student Excellence
ORMOC CITY — The Eastern Visayas State University–Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) pulsated with energy and ingenuity as the Technology Department successfully hosted “Technology Days 2025” from December 11 to 12, 2025.
The two-day event, themed around building the future through passion and continuous growth, brought together students from various disciplines to demonstrate their technical expertise, creativity, and collaborative spirit.
Day 1: A Fusion of Culture and Craft
The celebration kicked off on December 11 with a festive opening ceremony featuring vibrant student performances and a Christmas Caroling competition.
The first day focused on intellectual and vocational mastery through several high-stakes competitions:
- The Brainiacs Series: The ElectroBrainiacs (Knowledge Quest) and Culinary Brainiacs tested students’ critical thinking and problem-solving under pressure.
- Skills Showdown: Students demonstrated professional craftsmanship and discipline in hands-on events such as Drink Master, Table Set-up, and Napkin Folding, showcasing their readiness for the hospitality and service industries.
Day 2: The Future of Tech and Robotics
The momentum shifted toward high-tech innovation on the second day. The centerpiece of December 12 was the much-anticipated Robotic War & Electronics Exhibit. This segment allowed students to present forward-thinking projects and electronics solutions, showcasing their technical expertise and “forward-thinking” approach to modern engineering.
The festivities concluded with a prestigious Awarding Ceremony, celebrating the hard work, brilliance, and teamwork of all participants.
Collaborative Leadership
The success of Technology Days 2025 was made possible through the leadership of the EVSU-OC Technology Department and the active involvement of its student-led organizations. Key organizers included:
- The Association of Culinary Technology Students (ACTS – EVSU-OC)
- The Generation of Electronics Innovators of Technology (GEIT – EVSU-OC)
