EVSU-OC Students Attend Seminar on Research Poster Creation and Conference Presentation
Students from Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) recently participated in a seminar focused on improving their skills in creating research posters and presenting research in academic conferences.
The seminar discussed practical tips and techniques for designing effective research posters, emphasizing clarity, organization of information, and the use of visual elements to communicate research findings effectively. Participants learned how to present important sections of their research—such as the introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions—in a concise and visually engaging format suitable for conference presentations.
In addition to poster preparation, the session also highlighted oral communication strategies when presenting research to panelists and judges. Students were guided on how to confidently explain their research, deliver clear and organized presentations, and effectively answer questions during research conferences.
The activity provided students with valuable insights that can help them improve the way they communicate their research work and prepare them for future academic presentations and conferences.
Through initiatives like this, EVSU-OC continues to support the academic and professional development of its students by strengthening their research communication and presentation skills, encouraging them to actively participate in scholarly discussions and research-related activities.
This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, as it promotes the development of students’ research, communication, and academic presentation skills to enhance learning and academic excellence.
