EVSU-OC Kicks Off 25th Founding Anniversary with Historic Day 1 Celebration!

The Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) launched its 25th Founding Anniversary celebration on November 19, 2025, marking a monumental milestone with a day filled with pride, unity, and electrifying energy. The opening day, themed “Silver Legacy of Resilience,” showcased the vibrant spirit and camaraderie of the entire EVSU-OC community.

🚩 Motorcade and Parade: A Show of Unity

The day began with a spectacular Motorcade, featuring the stunning candidates of Mr. & Ms. EVSU-Ormoc Campus 2025, alongside the dedicated Faculty & Staff and the Campus Director. The convoy traversed from the Luna EVSU-OC Campus up to the Main Campus, setting a powerful tone for the festivities.

This was immediately followed by a vibrant Parade to officially usher in the Organization Days. Student organizations marched together, showcasing camaraderie, school spirit, and organizational pride. The collective energy of the students and faculty demonstrated the strong bonds within the EVSU-OC community.

🎉 Opening Program, Yell Competition, and Booth Showdown

The excitement continued to soar with the formal Opening Program for the 25th Founding Anniversary, officially setting the stage for the celebration.

A major highlight was the highly anticipated Yell Competition, where organizations channeled their full spirit into powerful performances. The venue was filled with thunderous cheers, reflecting the deep sense of pride and unity among the participants and spectators.

Simultaneously, the Booth Showdown turned the campus grounds into a vibrant display of creativity. Each organization leveraged innovative, fun, and engaging setups to showcase their talent and collaboration, reinforcing the campus’s atmosphere of active student involvement.

Laro ng Lahi: Celebrating Filipino Heritage

Day 1 culminated with the lively and culture-filled Laro ng Lahi (Traditional Filipino Games). Students participated in classic games, demonstrating teamwork, agility, and Pinoy pride. The competitive yet friendly rivalries fostered unity and sportsmanship, wrapping up the afternoon with infectious laughter and high energy.

Other highlights throughout the day also celebrated the active participation and creativity of the students and organizations, ensuring a comprehensive and unforgettable kick-off to the three-day celebration.
