Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus proudly held its Recognition Day 2025 on May 22, 2025 at EVSU-OC Covered Court, celebrating the academic excellence, leadership, and service of the graduating students from Batch Dilaab. The formal opening was marked by the warm welcome of Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza Jr., Head of Students Affairs and Services Office, and was followed by a Congratulatory Message delivered by Campus Director, Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay. He reminded the graduates that honors are not just about medals and certificates, but about the responsibilities they carry as future professionals bearing the EVSU name. An inspirational message was then shared by Engr. Simon Rey S. Jaca, RMEE, who encouraged the students to follow what makes their hearts come alive, take every opportunity, and always put God first. A major highlight of the program was the valedictory address delivered by Ms. Jennica N. VIllasor, Magna Cum Laude, a Bachelor of Elementary Education graduate, a mother , and at the same time a working student. Her message was a powerful testament of resilience and gratitude to those who helped her overcome the odds. Recognition was then given to students with Latin Honors, Academic Achievers, and Special Awardees, acknowledging their hard work and perseverance. The event concluded with Closing Remarks by Ms. Charlene C. Pita, LPT, RGC. She reminded the graduands of how far they’ve come—overcoming hardships, growing through life’s lessons, and achieving meaningful recognition. She urged them to carry with pride the values and knowledge gained from EVSU-OC as they embark on new chapters of their lives.
