In a bid to protect the health of the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) community, the university held flu vaccination campaigns for both employees and students this January. The flu vaccinations, which are crucial for preventing serious respiratory illnesses during the flu season, were conducted with the goal of safeguarding individuals against influenza and its potential complications.

The vaccination for EVSU employees took place on January 10, 2025, followed by a series of flu vaccination sessions for students from January 22 to 24, 2025. These efforts are part of the university’s proactive approach to public health and the well-being of its staff and student body.

Initiated by EVSU Medical Physician Dr. Ma. Salud N. Rosilio in collaboration with the Department of Health, the flu vaccinations were carried out by the university clinic Ormoc campus, under the supervision of Joseph T. Gudelos, Nurse Designate, and Nurse Dina Capala.

The flu vaccination initiative aims to ensure that the university community is well-protected, reducing the risk of flu outbreaks and supporting a healthier environment for academic and work activities. The timely and coordinated efforts reflect EVSU’s commitment to the health and safety of its faculty, staff, and students.
