When sophistication meets the stage, the 11 dazzling pairs of candidates courageously conquer the battle of wit, charm, and intelligence in this year’s Mister and Miss EVSU-OC, held last night, November 20, at the Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) covered court.
Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay, Campus Director of EVSU-OC, started the event with his welcome remarks, extending his warm greetings to the candidates’ families who came to support their children.
Showcasing pride for their respective organizations, the candidates flaunted their prowess in pageantry and graceful moves as they faced off in the production number.
To energize the audience and set a lively mood, Ms. Kriesha Jane Pepito delivered a captivating song performance that kept the crowd engaged. Meanwhile, Ms. Maricar Udtohay and Mr. Axel Estrera, both participants in the upcoming RSCUAA, swayed the dance floor with their dynamic cha-cha and rumba routines.
Subsequently, the competition intensified as the candidates strutted with confidence in the swimsuit segment, followed by an elegant display of Modern Filipiñana and Barong attire. These traditional garments beautifully exuded the rich heritage of the Philippines. Moreover, the Q&A portion became a highlight of the evening as each candidate passionately addressed their questions, sharing their inspiring advocacies and beliefs.
Furthermore, the pair from the Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (BPED), Ms. Michelle S. Balderas and Mr. JC Lloyd Arguilles, secured the coveted crown with their remarkable overall performance, being hailed as this year’s Mister and Miss EVSU-OC.
To conclude the event, Mrs. Lyra C. Rodriguez, Head of the Business and Management Department, took a moment to express her sincere acknowledgment to all those who played a part in making the event a success.
