Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus conducted an activity titled “Budget Planning and Preparation, Faculty and Staff Development, and Curriculum Review” at Jam Beach Resort, Merida, Leyte on March 20-21, 2025.
The event began with Dr. Jeff V. Ocay, Campus Director, delivering the opening remarks and explaining the rationale of the activity. He emphasized the importance of effective budget planning, faculty and staff growth, and curriculum enhancement.
On Day 1, all offices and departments presented their Line-Item Budget (LIB) and Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP). The presentations were followed by critiquing and discussions to ensure the proposed plans were clear, accurate, and aligned with the university’s goals.
On Day 2, the activity focused on Staff Development, featuring team-building activities aimed at strengthening camaraderie and teamwork among the faculty and staff. Everyone actively participated in the series of games, which promoted collaboration and unity.
The event concluded with a closing message from Prof. Alan Reynaldo E. Mabitad, who thanked the faculty and staff for their active participation and meaningful contributions and for making the event a success.
