Dr. Ocay and Hon. Gomez had an insightful discussion that centered on the importance of research towards knowing and aiding the community and its people. They discussed how in-depth research can impact the

community and administration’s dynamic and progress, and the ability to be adept in problem-solving.

With the mutual vision to foster excellence and empower the quality of life of Ormocanons, Dr. Ocay and City Mayor Gomez, will work hand in hand, with their respective administrative and academic resources, on significant researches for the city such as assessing the overall well-being of Ormocanons, studying the motivation and attitude of Ormocanon employees towards their work, and delving into traditional medical practices within the city to support local and cultural heritage, backed up with science.

In an interview, Dr. Ocay said that EVSU-Ormoc Campus will always be supportive of the city’s initiatives for improvement and will fulfill its role as a university in the city in contributing to the welfare of the community by participating in research, seminars, and trainings, as well as cultivating the skills and values among its students, training them into prospect and powerful workforce for the future.
