BEEd 4th Year Students Hold Seminar on Lesson Planning and Classroom Management

ORMOC CITY — The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) 4th Year students successfully conducted a seminar on Lesson Planning and Classroom Management on February 21, 2026, aimed at strengthening the competencies of future educators as they undergo their internship.

The activity gathered education students and faculty members for a day of learning focused on improving instructional planning and classroom practices aligned with current educational standards. The seminar was supported by the campus administration, including Campus Director Dr. Maricel A. Gomez, Education Department Head Dr. Guillermo M. Sodomia, and STA Adviser I Dr. Arnie M. Cadiente. Guidance for the activity was also provided by the students’ subject teacher, Dr. Glenda M. Barquin.

The seminar featured Dr. Richmond Moncada Lopez as the resource speaker, who shared his expertise on effective lesson planning aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum in the morning session. Participants were introduced to strategies in designing well-structured lesson plans that support meaningful learning outcomes.

In the afternoon session, the discussion shifted to classroom management, where participants explored techniques for creating a structured, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Interactive activities were also conducted to allow students to apply the concepts discussed during the seminar.

The event provided BEEd students with practical insights that they can apply during their internship and future teaching careers. It emphasized the importance of preparation, organization, and effective management in delivering quality instruction and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
