To honor the profound contributions and unwavering commitment of faculty members who have shaped countless lives throughout their years of service, Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus held an Awarding Ceremony and Recognition of Retirees on July 19, 2024.
The event started with warm welcome remarks from Dr. Richard P. Impas, head of the Administrative and Finance Services, who expressed gratitude for the retirees’ service and their impact on both the institution and students. Moreover, he also delivered his inspirational message to the recipients of the said awards and to the faculty who attended.
Emotions ran high as retirees Prof. Rogelio D. Basas and Dr. Ma. Erenita V. Bahian was called to the stage to receive their plaques and rings of recognition, honoring their 35 and 32 years of service, respectively. Both also delivered farewell messages, accompanied by heartfelt accolades from colleagues and students.
In addition to the retirees, several faculty members were recognized for their long-term service. Dr. Delecia C. Inghug, Dr. Guillermo M. Sodomia, Dr. Beatrice D. Mabitad, and Dr. Rustico B. Badilla received plaques and rings of recognition, while Engr. Wilfred Jude Perante, Engr. Jude Alexes M. Ramas and Lolita C. Badilla were awarded plaques. Meanwhile, Prof. Mary Joy Baltonado, Dr. Glenda M. Barquin, Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza, Jr., and Mrs. Dixie Jean V. Caresosa received certificates of recognition.
The event also featured heartfelt messages of gratitude from the awardees, including Dr. Arradaza, Dr. Mabitad, Dr. Sodomia, and Mrs. Caresosa, who expressed deep appreciation for the support and opportunities they’ve received.
The evening concluded with closing remarks delivered by Dr. Beatrice D. Mabitad, Head of the Teacher Education Department.
