May 17, 2024, marked a significant day as the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Special Election took place at the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) in five precincts, with participation from students across various programs.

In the eagerly awaited SSG election, the EVSUnistas cast their votes as early as 8:00 a.m.

Five precincts, one for each department, were established to accommodate all students on campus. According to the school’s registrar, the university comprises 4,458 students, with nearly half of the student body expected to vote.

The ballots were officially closed at 4 p.m. The students’ cast their votes on the leaders they believe will best represent their interests and welfare.
