In line with the 9th Yolanda Commemoration, the Eastern Visayas State University—Ormoc Campus conducted a seminar entitled “𝑴𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅: 𝑨 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓” November 8, 2022, at the AC Building Function Hall.

In attendance were the Supreme Student Government (SSG), Observer, and student leaders from different registered organizations of EVSU-OC. Mr. Rustico B. Badilla, the administering officer, talked about Comprehensive Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Planning, where he discussed P.D. 1566 (series of 1978), R.A. 10121 (series of 2010), the Local DRRM Committee with Roles and Responsibilities as Approved and Community Risk Assessment (CRA).

Moreover, Mrs. Alma Villegas-Glori discussed climate change orientation and different natural calamities, particularly in the Philippines.
