June 13, 2024- Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus marked a significant milestone yesterday with the inauguration of new flag poles on the campus, an initiative spearheaded by the Senior Class Organization as the offered Batch Project of the Class of 2024. The event, which symbolizes patriotism and unity, was attended by students, faculty, and administrative staff.

The ceremony began with a solemn flag-raising, accompanied by the national anthem, stirring a sense of pride and nationalism among attendees. The Campus Director, Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay, delivered an inspiring speech during the inauguration saying that though it is simple, but it is still historical. Also, it is a great way of celebrating this year’s Independence Day.

In addition to being a tangible addition to the campus grounds, this historical milestone of EVSU-OC represents the university community’s unwavering dedication to preserving and honoring the history and ideals of the country.
