To orient the members about the organization and to elaborate their roles and responsibilities within the organization, the Peer Facilitators Circle (PFC) hosted its first General Assembly with the theme “With Every Peer, We Conquer Fear” at EVSU-OC Multimedia Room today, September 16, 2024.

The event began with heartfelt opening remarks from Mr. Eric M. Pulido, PFC President, who emphasized the value of kindness, even in the absence of personal gain. Followed by a welcome message from Dr. Charlene C. Pita, Organization Adviser, where she expressed gratitude for the dedication of PFC officers and members and reminded everyone of the significant role they play as peer facilitators.

A key highlight of the assembly was the introduction of the PFC advisers and officers, followed by special song performances from Kriesha Jane Aliviado and Kenneth Sosmeña, which added a lively touch to the event.

The program also featured several informative sessions led by the PFC officers. Ms. Gella Rose L. Delima and Ms. Ainee Jane G. Dicdican, PFC Secretaries, discussed “What is PFC?” diving into the organization’s history, purpose, relevant trainings, and members’ roles and responsibilities. The Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) were also discussed, providing the new members with a deeper understanding of the organization’s foundation. Ms. Marie Angelica S. Tomada, PFC Public Information Officer I, presented the first semester’s Calendar of Activities, giving everyone a preview of the exciting projects lined up for the coming months. This was followed by a Membership Discussion led by Ms. Lea Mae Laurito, PFC Treasurer.

The assembly concluded with an inspiring message from Mr. Jefferson Genobiagon, PFC Vice President, who encouraged members to stay actively involved and to continue fostering a spirit of camaraderie and support throughout their journey in the organization.

The PFC General Assembly served not only as an orientation but also as a platform to inspire its members to take initiative, work together, and be the best versions of themselves for the benefit of their peers and the community.
