In commemoration of World Teachers’ Day, the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus held an appreciation program for its teaching staff today, October 18, 2023, at EVSU-OC Covered Court.
On behalf of Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay, the EVSU-OC Director, Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza, Jr., the head of SASO, inaugurated the program, stating how crucial a role teachers play in the lives of every student.
βTeachers play a crucial role in the lives of society, as they prepare the younger generation to gain courage and knowledge”, he stated.
Furthermore, the faculty and staff of EVSU-Ormoc were the honorees of this occasion, recognizing their unwavering dedication to educating students.
The SSG prepared fun activities as well for the teachers and students, including interactive games. Teachers also showcased their talents by taking part in singing and dancing.
To officially conclude the event, Prof. Lyra C. Rodriguez, SSG Adviser, expressed warm appreciation to the SSG officers and other registered organizations, as well as the students, for their contribution to the program’s success.
Teachers indeed have the dedication and passion for imparting knowledge that will have a profound and lasting impact on students. This annual celebration is a well-deserved tribute to the teachers who work tirelessly to nurture and educate the youth, preparing them for the future.
