To ensure safety and to enhance preparedness, the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) came alive with a sense of purpose as students, faculty members, and staff gathered to participate in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on March 13, 2025.

The drill simulated a realistic earthquake scenario, with participants practicing evacuation procedures, accounting for one another’s safety, and converging at designated assembly points.

Additionally, Red Cross Youth (RCY) students from EVSU-OC demonstrated a scene on how to properly assess an injured individual during the incident. Through this, it equip students the basic knowledge on how to respond quickly and effectively, and reduce panic when an earthquake occurs.

By conducting regular drills and training programs, the university reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding its community and promoting a proactive approach to disaster preparedness.
