The Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) broke new ground on July 8, 2024, by hosting its inaugural non-graduating SSG and Organization Officer Recognition Ceremony at the Function Hall AC Building.

Spearheaded by the newly elected Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of non-graduating SSG officers and the dedication of various registered course- and values-oriented organizations within EVSU-OC. Dr. Jeorgen T. Arradaza Jr., SASO Head, set the tone for the event in his opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of this pioneering ceremony. Dr. Richard P. Impas, the newly installed Administering Officer of EVSU-OC, echoed this sentiment in a special message to the awardees. He lauded them as the “living heroes” of the institution and instilled in them the importance of perseverance in their endeavors.

Dr. Arradaza Jr. and Mrs. Lyra Calvez-Rodriguez, SSG Adviser, jointly distributed certificates to the recognized student leaders. Mrs. Rodriguez then delivered the closing remarks, expressing her heartfelt appreciation to all participants and pledging unwavering support to the incoming officers for the academic year 2024-2025.  This momentous event marks a significant milestone for EVSU-OC. It not only acknowledges the accomplishments and contributions of non-graduating student leaders but also promotes a deep sense of pride and achievement within the university community, solidifying the institution’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the efforts of all its student leaders.
