The Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) students gathered today, June 8, 2024, for the National Service Training Program (NSTP) graduation ceremony at the Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) Covered Court.

The ceremony formally commenced with the opening remarks of Prof. Mary Joy Baltonado, the NSTP Head and Instructor, where she expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the batch of 2023–2024 NSTP graduates. It was then followed by an inspirational speech from Dr. Richard Impas, the keynote speaker of the event, where he encouraged students to maintain their community service, not because it is a requirement but because of their genuine willingness to serve. “Gikan karon, ato nang e maintain ang atong community service. Importante na [no] labi na sa ato diri sa EVSU, kay wala manay gamit ang atong nahuman, walay gamit atong institution, kung wala tay impact sa community”, he said.

Following this, awards were presented to students who demonstrated exceptional leadership and outstanding performance during the community immersion. Subsequently, certificates of completion were distributed to CWTS students from various programs.

The event concluded with the closing remarks of one of the CWTS instructors, Dr. Arnie Cadiente, who motivated the students to embody the values and lessons they learned during their CWTS experience.
