With a theme, “From Idea to Empire,” the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) second-year students of Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) successfully held their ‘Let’s Talk Over Coffee’ podcast-style event yesterday, April 21, 2025, at EVSU-OC Function Hall.

The event formally started with a welcome address from Ms. Mary Grace Coretico, president of BSHM 2A, followed by opening remarks from Prof. Mary Anne B. Osores on behalf of Industrial Technology’s Head, Alan Reynaldo Mabitad.

Centered on the dynamic world of entrepreneurship, the highlight of the event was an insightful conversation featuring two guest speakers from Paytaca: Mr. Philip John T. Montaño and Mr. Jesus Manuel “Ganggang” Horca II. Both speakers shared their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, and strategies for transforming simple ideas into thriving businesses, inspiring the students to dream bigger and act bolder in their future endeavors.

It was then followed by an open forum allowing students and faculty to engage directly with the guest speakers through questions, ideas, and discussions, making the session even more interactive and meaningful.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to the esteemed guest speakers, along with a heartfelt expression of gratitude from the organizers. The gathering ended on a high note, leaving participants energized and motivated to pursue their own entrepreneurial ambitions.
