About Institutional Planning and Development

The Institutional Planning and Development Office (IPDO) plays a critical role in the Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) growth and development. It functions as the university’s central planning unit, overseeing various initiatives that steer EVSU towards achieving its strategic goals.

Duties and Functions:

  1. Plans, manages and supervises the implementation of the planning and development programs of the Campus;
  2. Coordinates with the different department/units and other offices of Campus in the development or formulation of the institutional plans and programs of EVSU-Ormoc Campus;
  3. Formulates and constantly updates the EVSU-Ormoc Campus master development plan;
  4. Manages and maintains sufficient provisions for planning and development of consultancy services in meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops, research forums, program and project development activities;
  5. Monitors and evaluates the effective management and implementation of the institutional plans and development programs;
  6. Publishes the development plans and accomplishments reports of the Campus for public consumption;
  7. Prepares, maintains and continually updates the service manual of the Office;
  8. Establishes, develops, and maintains strategic linkage with other agencies of both local or foreign entities for institutional development purposes;
  9. Coordinates with the Institutional Planning and Development Director for other related matters;
  10. Submits to the Campus Director and the Institutional Planning and Development Director the institutional plans and accomplishment reports of the office; and
  11. Performs related task assigned by the Campus Director.

  1. Attainment of Strategic Goals: well-crafted development plans, the IPDO helps EVSU chart a clear course towards its vision and mission.
  2. Funding Security:The IPDO’s resource generation efforts ensure that EVSU has the financial means to carry out its programs and projects.
  3. Effective Resource Management: The IPDO’s focus on efficient resource allocation optimizes EVSU’s spending and maximizes the impact of its resources.
  4. Continuous Improvement: The IPDO’s monitoring and evaluation processes enable EVSU to identify areas for improvement and adapt its plans accordingly.
  5. Strong Stakeholder Relationships:The IPDO’s public relations and linkages efforts build bridges between EVSU and the external community, fostering collaboration and support.
