In the wake of the recent typhoon that caused widespread power interruptions across Ormoc City and nearby areas, Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus has once again stepped up to support its students.

Recognizing the importance of staying connected with loved ones and continuing academic tasks even during difficult times, the campus has opened its facilities to provide free gadget charging for all EVSUnistas. This initiative aims to offer immediate assistance to students who still do not have electricity at home and need access to essential power for communication and schoolwork.

The charging station remains open until now, ensuring that those who continue to experience outages have a safe and reliable place to recharge their phones, laptops, and other devices. Students may directly proceed to the designated charging area near the Administration Office.

This simple but meaningful act reflects the university’s spirit of bayanihan, compassion, and unity. EVSU–Ormoc reaffirms its commitment to serving the community—especially in times when support matters the most.

Padayon, EVSUnistas. Together, we rise, rebuild, and continue our journey as one strong EVSU community.
