The representatives of Eastern Visayas State University for PASUC 8 Vocal Duet Competition, Eldrich Manuel Sevilla and Michelle Aseo, clinched 2nd place with their version of “Sino ang Baliw”, earlier today at VSU Convention Center.

Next to Visayas State University who took first place, the duo triumphed over eight other teams from different state universities and colleges in the region. After them were the contestants from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) who grabbed 3rd place.

The duo was coached by Prof. Dion S. Cecilio. In an interview, Prof. Cecilio expressed his pride and support for the duo. “As their coach, I can say that all of our efforts and sacrifices are now paying off, and I’m proud to say that they gave it their all. I always feel proud of them when they compete, and the finest prize that they have received—more so than a medal—is when others are inspired and touched by what they see us do”, Prof. Cecilio said.

Sevilla and Aseo were able to top their last year’s SCUAA results at SLSU as 3rd placer.

“Our hardwork truly paid off, from all the ups and downs during practices. It was all worth it. We just poured our hearts out while performing”, Sevilla and Aseo stated.
