EVSU Student-Athlete Princess Honey Arbilon Honored by PSC at All-Women Sports Awards 2026

ORMOC CITY — Eastern Visayas State University proudly celebrates Princess Honey Arbilon, an outstanding student-athlete and Ormocana athlete, for being recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) during the All-Women Sports Awards 2026.

Arbilon was among the awardees honored for her remarkable performance in Modern Pentathlon, a sport in which she has consistently brought pride and recognition to her community. The All-Women Sports Awards is a prestigious event that gives recognition to women who have demonstrated exceptional skill, leadership, and significant contributions to Philippine sports.

Her recognition also reflects her inspiring athletic journey, including her notable achievement at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, where she secured the silver medal in the Women’s Laser Run event. Beyond her success in sports, Arbilon continues to serve as an inspiration to the EVSU community as a student-athlete who balances academic life and athletic excellence through hard work, discipline, and determination.

Modern Pentathlon in Ormoc was introduced during the time when Leyte 4th District Representative Richard Gomez served as mayor of the city, and Arbilon is recognized as one of the pioneering athletes in the sport. Her growth and achievements now stand as a testament to the strength and potential of local athletes who continue to shine on national and international stages.

The awarding ceremony was held on March 20, 2026, at the Reception Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in the CCP Complex, Pasay City.

With this recognition, Princess Honey Arbilon once again brings honor not only to Eastern Visayas State University, but also to Ormoc City and the Philippines, proving that excellence, dedication, and perseverance can lead to remarkable achievements both in the classroom and in the sporting arena.
