Ormoc City, Leyte – In a proactive move to ensure a safer and more secure campus environment, Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) has mandated attendance for a Public Safety Seminar for all Faculty, Staff, and Students.
The seminar, themed “Crime Awareness and Campus Security Enhancement,” will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the EVSU Function Hall.
Enhancing Awareness for a Safer Campus
This seminar is organized in compliance with the mandates of the Department of Justice, Philippine National Police (PNP), and relevant security regulations. It aims to empower the entire EVSU-OC community with essential knowledge on crime prevention, current security threats, and proactive measures to ensure personal and communal safety.
Campus Director Dr. Mariel C. Gomez stressed the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in maintaining campus security.
“This seminar is essential to raise crime awareness and strengthen our collective responsibility in maintaining a safe and secure campus environment,” the official Notice specified.
Attendance at this crucial half-day event is highly encouraged and mandatory for all concerned to ensure the success of the campus-wide security enhancement program.
