Observer, the Official Tertiary Publication of Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC), is now recruiting new campus journalists for Academic Year 2025-2026.

Whether you write, draw, design, or create digitally, there’s a space for your voice in our pages.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:

Step 1: Fill out the application form from the Student Publications Office.

a. To obtain hard copies, ask for the form at the Observer’s Office, which is across from the MESO Office in the BM Building, Monday through Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. during the time frame for applications.

b. The PDF application form for online applications can be downloaded and completed at https://drive.google.com/…/11cX-qN2nhbEDQr_lR…/view? usp=drivesdk. Once finished, send it to observerspo.evsuoc@gmail.com via email with the subject line “SURNAME_SPO APPLICATION.”

Step 2: Submit a portfolio that includes at least five (5) prior works that highlight your abilities in relation to the position you’re applying for.

a. If you plan to apply in person, bring it with you in the form of transferable files for digital works or paper copies for literary or visual pieces.

b. If you plan to apply online, send your application form and portfolio to the same email address.

Step 3: Once your application has been acknowledged—either through an official in-person confirmation or an email response—stay tuned for further updates regarding the schedule for the screening, exam, or interview process.

The application period runs from September 17 to September 24, 2025.
