Driven by their immense passion, the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education-Food and Services Management (BTVTED-FSM) 3A students of Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) conducted their culminating activity with a theme “Mula sa Puso, Handog ay Pasasalamat,” held at EVSU-OC Covered Court on April 21, 2025.
The event formally commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the EVSU Hymn and the Ormoc City Hymn. Dr. Beatrice C. Mabitad, Head of the Education Department, then delivered her welcome remarks, acknowledging the instructors’ dedication in teaching the learners with their great skills and expertise in food and service management and by molding these young individuals that showcase students enthusiasm today.
Along with this is the video presentation that exhibits their collective efforts and experiences filled with learnings and memories during their laboratories and activities. Subsequently, their major instructors, Joanah R. Benitez, MaEd, and Ma. Flordelis L. Arnosa, LPT, delivered their messages during the event.
After the heartfelt messages from the instructors, students stayed at their designated roles in serving their beloved parents and family members during the dinner. Foods and beverages were meticulously served with smiles and love from the BTVTED 3A students.
“To the parents of our students, ma’am and sir, as you can see in this presentation, this is the product of your children. This showcases the quality of instruction and implication, the quality of faculty or professors that we have.” A word of wisdom from Dr. Jeffry V. Ocay, Campus Director of EVSU-OC, highlighting the students achievements and teaching quality as well.
Thereafter, students sang their song of gratitude dedicated to their parents that was accompanied by roses, showing their unending love to their parents, making the entire venue filled with smiles and joyful hearts.
Before the event ended, Mr. Julito Acebron, S01, LPT, and their class president, Carena Jay Campos, also shared their unfeigned messages, followed by the closing remarks of Dr. Arnie M. Cadiente. The event ended with heartfelt gratitude and joyful memories filled with love, learning, and appreciation.
