Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) hosted a forum on Coping Mechanisms for Students with Special Needs, PWD’s, Solo Parents, and Underprivileged yesterday, November 20, 2024, at EVSU-OC Function Hall.

The event formally commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Joergen T. Arradaza, Jr., Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO) Head.

The event then shifted to sessions, which consisted of 6 main speakers, which were Ma’am Marriane Grace K. Tomada, Ma’am Lolita H. Gallano, Ma’am Rhea Mae Cagat, Sir Jessie Peralta, Ma’am Jhelmar Mijares, and Ma’am Charlene C. Pita, RGC and Guidance Designate. Each talked with zeal and expertise about the three main topics, which are the Updates about the Rights of Solo Parents, Updates about the Rights and Privileges of PWD’s, and lastly, about Cultivating Coping Mechanisms.

The event ended with the awarding of certificates, specially made for the key speakers, and a heartfelt closing remark by Martin Dominique Nagutom, President of EVSU-OC’s PWD members, followed by an evaluation from the students who participated in the said event.
