The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Eastern Visayas State University Ormoc Student Chapter (EVSU OSC) began the semester with a General Assembly and Clean-up Drive at the EVSU Luna Function Hall on August 20, 2024.

Engr. Phoebe Lanzaderas, adviser of PICE EVSU OSC, welcomed civil engineering students to the opening activities. Engr. Joel Capala, Engineering Department Head, delivered an inspirational message and provided a brief orientation on the school’s grading system. Engr. Rechel Caliwan-Grana and Engr. Antonio Naboya also shared their motivational insights.

The event included the introduction of the engineering faculty, a presentation of the PICE EVSU OSC 2024-2025 officers, a reading of the organization’s constitution, a discussion of upcoming projects, and the organization’s goals.

Hon. Edward Camantes, PICE EVSU OSC president, concluded the morning session with closing remarks. In the afternoon, civil engineering students participated in a clean-up drive and guided campus tour for freshmen.
