About PFC

The peer facilitators circle is a values-oriented organization that aims to make students’ lives better by providing a friendly and emphatic environment, where every peer can share their stories of hope despite uncertainties and daily life struggles. The peer facilitators circle also promotes skills including leadership, collaboration, and resiliency.

A peer facilitator helps students work through their problems by offering emotional support as well as guidance regarding different situations.

Vision

A Peer facilitator is a student who is continuously mindful of and engaged with themselves, others, and their needs. She or he expresses a genuine concern, commitment, and courage that emanate from his understanding and support of the well-being of others. The most significant influence on both of their existences will emerge from his or her commitment to support and support all students. He or she acts as a spokesperson for the Guidance Services Center in the right way and gives better and more sincere services.

Mission

Our PF vision is to help students become well-rounded, responsible adults who desire to achieve their fullest potential, engage in learning, accomplish their excellent efforts, and develop their emotional, social, and physical well-being.

The goals of PFC shall be follows:

  1. To come to an awareness, understanding, and acceptance of one’s giftedness and limitations; and
  2. To develop skills in facilitating growth in one’s self and others.
  3. Leadership, academic excellence, and integrity shall be its ideal.
  4. Develop a comfortable space for every student by offering emotional support and building resiliency.

Trainings

Peer Facilitators’ training often includes learning specific skills critical to facilitating and counseling, strong listening skills, decision-making strategies, awareness of illegal drugs, alcohol, and sexually transmitted diseases, and building a high level of trust among facilitators.
