News 𝐄𝐕𝐒𝐔-𝐎𝐂 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬

Student organizations of Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) engaged in a workshop spearheaded by the Student Publications Office (SPO) focused on designing brochures and editing promotional videos on July 23, 2024, at EVSU-OC Covered Court.

The workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of each student organization across the institution, enabling them to effectively promote their respective organization. Dr. Richard P. Impas, Head of the Administrative and Finance Services Office, started the event by delivering his welcome address, emphasizing the importance of acquiring basic technological knowledge in today’s technologically driven world.

Subsequently, Mr. Alexander Jr. M. Morfe, Editor-in-Chief of the Observer, took the lead in discussing the principles of layout. In his session, he encouraged each organization to learn how to create effective visual materials as well as the importance of a well-crafted layout in capturing audience attention and enabling organizations to convey their message concisely.

Mr. Jake Cascara, Media Director of the Observer, followed the first session which he focused on how to make a good promotional video. He highlighted the significance of understanding the fundamentals of videography and editing, as this initiative will empower the organization by allowing them to promote their particular groups. Furthermore, the organization was given ample time to compile data and exchange ideas in order to produce an output.

The event was concluded by Dr. Richard Impas, who shared his goals for all the student organizations and his plans for the anticipated opening of class.
