The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students of Eastern Visayas State University – Ormoc Campus (EVSU-OC) organized a comedy show with a theme: “PAGTINDOG: Comedy Show For A Cause” at EVSU-OC Covered Court on May 25, 2024.

This event aimed to raise funds for the upcoming educational tour of second-year students of Hospitality Management and to help in constructing the campus clinic.

The event formally started with an opening prayer followed by the Philippines National Anthem, Ormoc Hymn and the EVSU Hymn. Throughout the course of the event, the first-year students showcased their infotainment videos which featured and highlighted cultures, traditions, and delicacies of the three major islands in the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It was then subsequently followed by the BSHM third-year students where they showcased their graceful and colorful performances.

The most awaited comedians from Cebu, Davao, and the famous TikTok Creator: Ugbok Queen, Five Little Monkey Queen also known as Miss Catering, and Shamcey TV finally stepped foot at the EVSU Covered Court to spread laughters through their piquant humorous jokes.

“Ang event kay aligre kaayo, puno sa jokes ug maka wala sa stress, as in.” an impression by Rachel Castro, a BSHM student who participated in the said event.

Moreover, the event officially ended with the crowds’ echoing laughter and blasting jokes by the comedians. The Hospitality Management instructors and students are both emotional and thankful for the event’s success.
