The Society of Physical Education Majors celebrated the second day of SOPEM Days 2024 on March 1, 2024, at Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus Covered Court.

To officially start the celebration, a singing contest at 3:30 pm began with the categories of vocal solo and vocal duet competition with several participants from various houses. In the end of the battle of voices, Maekyla Zuela Lascoรฑa from the house of Pug-aw clinched the title of vocal solo competition champion, while Mark Paul Ayade and Marwin Resuelo both also from the house of Pug-aw were acclaimed as the vocal duet competition champions.

In the evening, The Sophomore Bachelor of Physical Education Students AY 2023-2024, in cooperation with the SOPEM Organization, presented “Sayaw Pilipinas: A Glimpse of Philippine Culture through Philippine Traditional Dances.” The students, led by the SOPEM Adviser, Mr. Franz Martin S. Callano, showcased various traditional dances, including the Cordillera Suite, Muslim Suite, Maria Clara Suite, and Rural Suite.

The event also included the awarding of ball games and literary competitions. Furthermore, the commencement of the Dancesport Cup elevated the atmosphere, as competitors from different houses infused the night with elation, showcasing both elegance and humor.

Afterwards, the stage resonated with cheers as Ms. Kriesha Jane Pepito, Ms. Maekyla Zuela Lascoรฑa, and Mr. Mark Paul Ayade and Marwin Resuelo, captivated the crowd with their unique singing styles.

Capping off the event, the house of Bulaw emerged as champions in both the Grade C Latin and Thirdkind Grade C Latin categories of the Dancesport Cup Competition.

SOPEM Days 2024 emerged as a celebration teeming with talent, unity, beauty, skills, and intelligence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who attended.
