On February 6, 2024, our team embarked on a benchmarking journey at Eastern Visayas State University-Tanauan Campus. Accompanied by the Industrial Technology Department faculty, led by our Head, Sir Alan Reynaldo Mabitad, and our campus Director, Dr. Jeffry Ocay, we focused our visit on scrutinizing the documents required for the Certificate of Program Compliance, with particular attention to their Culinary Arts program. Our aim was to enhance the quality of our documents while learning from their best practices.
During our visit, we were graciously hosted by Dr. Ronald Madira, the campus Director at Eastern Visayas State University. We were treated to a comprehensive presentation highlighting their Technology Department’s best practices, which showcased innovative teaching methodologies and cutting-edge research initiatives. Additionally, we had the opportunity to tour their impressive facilities, gaining valuable insights into their academic and technological resources.
Despite the absence of Dr. Eigbert Delpilar, the Technology Department’s leader, due to prior commitments, the warmth and hospitality extended by the faculty and staff were exemplary. This fostered a spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the day.
Our benchmarking experience not only provided us with valuable insights but also strengthened the bonds between our institutions. It reaffirmed our commitment to excellence in industrial technology education and the continuous enhancement of our academic programs for the benefit of our students and broader communities.
